Arsene to bid for Ajax Ace?

Arsene Wenger likes to bid for new talents, and it looks like he might be up to it again. Arsene Wenger is hoping to sign Jan Vertonghen form Ajax this transfer window. Jan Vertonghen can play as a centre back or a defensive midfielder for his club Ajax, and has played with Thomas Vermaelen before. Jan Vertonghen is 6ft 2inch, and has played 89 times for Ajax scoring 7 league goals. Jan Vertonghen could have a great partnership with Vermaelen and they could be really good playing together. This is a player Wenger should have an eye out for.

Arsene Wenger has also played down links of Cesc Fabregas leaving us, again.Wenger said,

“I don’t need to talk about Cesc. He has a deal with Arsenal and we don’t want to sell him.

“I’ve spoken with Fabregas many times – as with all the players in the World Cup – but never about his future.”

I don’t understand why Barca are still trying to get Cesc after Arsenal keep saying they aren’t going to sell him. I believe that Arsenal will once again see Cesc Fabregas in an Arsenal shirt. In other news about Cesc, Barca have a new president, Sandro Rosell. Rosell is very cautious about Barca’s financial problems, and knows that for Cesc to come to Barca, it will take a lot of money, and put Barca into more debt.

Van Persie and Bendtner played against each other earlier in a match that finished 2-0 to The Netherlands. Van Persie didn’t play great, but he did get an assist for an own goal before being taken out. Bendtner started the match, which was a surprise to most people. He was suffering from an injury that caused him to miss training throughout the week. Bendtner didn’t have a great game, and was taken out early. Alex Song didn’t feature at all for Cameroon in their 1-0 loss to Japan. Wenger stated that they should make a statue of Japan coach, Okada, if Japan make it out of the group. It would definitely be something amazing because they Netherlands and Denmark still to play.

Thanks for reading, bye.
