Arsenal v Bolton Wanderers- Match Preview

Four points, negative 8 goal difference, 17th place and 11 points behind leaders Manchester United is where we lie after the first five games of the season. Arsenal will be hoping to pick up an important three points from the game against Bolton this weekend.

Arsenal have received some positive news on the injury list, with Rosicky, Sagna and Ramsey set to come back.

Rosicky is back in the squad. Sagna and Ramsey had positive tests this morning, so overall it is alright.

Benayou has a thigh strain and Djourou has a hamstring [problem]. Both of them are very minor muscular problems.

They could play with a risk of making it worse. But we will not take the gamble. As I told you, we only play players when they are 100 per cent.

Both of them are out with muscular problems in the short term. One week so Bolton and Olympiacos for sure. They have an outside chance to play against Tottenham.

Bolton have had a similar start to Arsenal as well. The Trotters have only 1 point less than Arsenal with 3 better on goal difference. Bolton’s last league game was a disappointing 2-1 loss to Norwich City.

Arsenal’s last league meeting with Bolton was a 2-1 defeat where on loan from Chelsea player Daniel Sturridge and Tamir Cohen scored the goals.Unsurprisingly, both goals came from corners.

Some may say Arsenal’s defence has become a little more sturdy since the summer, but last week, Arsenal showed the same defencive frailty’s that caused us to slip to fourth in the league. Gunners fans will be hoping for a stronger display against Bolton this weekend.

I am predicting the starting line up to be like this: Szczesny; Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Santos; Song, Arteta, Ramsey; Gervinho, RVP, Walcott

Final Score Prediction: Arsenal 2-2 Bolton
